Restorative bliss...
And don't we all, with fierce hunger, crave a cave of solitude, a space of deep listening- full of quiet darkness and stars, until finally we hear a syllable of God echoing in the cave of our hearts?" |
Restorative Yoga is a gentle and healing practice for every-BODY, regardless of body type, physical limitations, age or health issues. This deeply nurturing and calming class focuses on bringing balance to the nervous and immune systems. Postures are done slowly and mindfully, on the floor, supported by props such as blankets and bolsters. It is great for restoring healing and wholeness to an imbalanced system. This alternative, therapeutic yoga style helps bring the parasympathetic nervous system ‘on-line’ and is an excellent support for those working with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, chronic illness such as cancer, or injury.
It is a great tune up for those who are well, too! Restorative Yoga is always complemented by thoughtful healing touch/assists and aromatherapy with Young Living Oils, if desired. Anjali has been teaching Restorative Yoga for 15 years and brings aspects of mindfulness meditation, yoga therapy, and Somatic Experiencing into her Restorative classes. Participants often leave a Restorative class transformed: grounded, calm, resourced, relaxed, clear and peaceful.
